Chiltern Railway are planning a series of major engineering works, which will result in the closure of the section of track between West Ruislip and London Marylebone. These works are planned for most weekends in March, April and May, as well as an extended period starting Friday 22nd April through to Sunday 8th May – that’s sixteen days with no service.
There are no replacement bus services through the South Harrow area – advice from Chiltern is to use the London Underground network to get either into London (probably the Picadilly line from South Harrow) or out to West Ruislip (Central line from Northolt) and transfer to a Chiltern service then.
We’ve no idea yet what work is happening, but it may be related to the £17bn HS2 High Speed service between London and Birmingham.
