Country Excursions – Hounslow and South Harrow

This poster promotes day trips to Hounslow and South Harrow by Underground.

It was designed so that a sticker of the departing station could be added as appropriate. It features an illustration by Frederick Charles Herrick of cattle in a meadow. Herrick carried out various design work for the Underground group. He designed the aluminium rabbit mascots fitted to the London General Omnibus Company B.-type buses that ran on country routes.

He also designed the Wembley Lion logo for the British Empire Exhibition in 1924.
