Harrow Turns Out for Remembrance Sunday Parade

Harrow turned out earlier today to remember those who lost their lives in war. Events ran across the borough, culminating in two minutes silence at 11.00am.

The event in Harrow Town Centre saw a parade of service-men and women, old soldiers, cadets, volunteers, scouts, cubs and beavers leave the town centre, and parade through the streets to the Civic Centre, followed by a short service, prayers, the silence and – what is often the most haunting of sounds – the Last Post .

The Mayor of Harrow, Councillor Nizam Ismail, was in attendance along with Councillors past and present, local dignitaries and, of course, a huge number of local residents, on what was a bright, but cold, morning.
