Devastating news that Hartex, the long-time purveyor of the weird and wonderful is up for sale. Despite not knowing how to describe the shop, it’s been an anchor of the Northolt Road for as long as I can remember. Whether I’ve wanted shoe-laces, a thermal hat, hi-vis waistcoat, some luggage straps, or anything even remotely similar, I’ve always used Hartex.
If you’ve not been into the shop, please take the chance now whilst you can. This is really the last shop of it’s type that I can think of, anywhere, and it would genuinely be a huge loss for the Northolt Road were it to close.
£609,950 will buy you the shop, and a three-bed split-level flat above with vacant possession, again, via Alexandra Park.
Update 14.07.11 15:16: someone asked about the exact details of this – I’ve copied this text from the Alexandra Park website: “alexandra park is pleased to offer this commercial Freehold property for sale located in central South Harrow. The property is currently a clothes shop with a three bed split level flat above and is ideal for investment purchase and wll be sold with vacant possession.”
