Harrow Kids Groups are Top of the Class

Forget the Olympics – three local classes for pre-school children have won Gold, Silver and Bronze in the UK’s biggest parenting awards. The activity classes won the top places in the national awards from Britain’s main parenting site Netmums.com. The groups beat off competition from dozens of other classes in the area – and will be listed as the region’s best on the Netmums website.

The Gold medal was won by Angelina Melwani who runs Sing and Sign classes at Blackwell Hall in Stanmore on Wednesday mornings. These classes are full of music, singing, puppets, shakers, bells and laughter. Jubilant Angelina said “Over the past 10 years, Sing and Sign has received very many national awards and accolades because of the quality and consistency of the programme, but to win the Netmums award for Favourite Pre-School class in Harrow is just the icing on the cake for me because it is voted for by the mums, dads and carers who have attended the very classes that I teach myself. I have received many touching messages of thanks and appreciation over the past decade from the parents I have taught in Harrow, Stanmore, Bushey and Rickmansworth, but it is thrilling to receive an award from Netmums which is a website that, as a mum myself, I value so much as a local parenting resource.”

Second-prize silver was awarded to Lina Dalsania who runs Baby Sensory classes in North Harrow. The classes offer a world full of exciting experiences that will help your baby to learn and develop in every way.
