Police seize large quantity of Meow Meow near Harrow

Officers from the Met’s Central Task Force have seized a large quantity of the drug Meow Meow during a vehicle search in Wembley.

The proactive operation stopped the Silver Vauxhall Vectra on Sudbury Court Drive in Wembley at 1430 on Friday 7 October.

Officers searched the vehicle and found four cardboard boxes containing 51 kilos of Cathinone Derivative, also known as ‘Meow Meow’.

The 26 year old male driver of the car has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and is currently in custody.

The seizure is thought to have a street value in excess of £100,000.

Detective Inspector Colin Stephenson said: “This arrest and seizure has disrupted a significant supply of Meow Meow within London and the Home Counties. It will reinforce the message that the MPS will continue to combat the criminal networks engaged in drug trafficking”
