Empty-house Burglaries on the Increase in Harrow

News just in from Harrow Police today reporting that:

The borough is experiencing a rising trend in burglary of empty houses. Suspects have been locating empty houses and then stripping them of copper piping and other items that can be sold on.  When arrested and interviewed the suspects claim to be living or squatting there.

Please contact your local Safer Neighbourhoods team if you know of an empty property in your road, so that officers can establish who the owner is and to ensure that the property is fully secured.

You can find details of your Safer Neightbourhood Team here.
