Get Your Cycle Security Marked for Free – November 24, 2012

Harrow’s Greenhill Safer Neighbourhood Team will be at Halfords on Sheepcote Road in Harrow between 11.00am and 3.00pm  on November 24, 2012, to mark resident’s cycles for free. Whilst this, in itself, possibly won’t reduce the chance of your bike being stolen, it does mean that when it’s recovered by Police – as many are – you stand an excellent chance of getting it back.

Cycle theft appears to be increasing in some parts of the country, and getting your bike marked in this way can only be a good thing.

Always a good idea to take up crime busting opportunities when provided and help our police to unite you with your personal goods.Harrow Police have many excellent initiatives —including fitting anti-theft screws to your car number plates—which they publicise at this time of year.
Please keep your eyes peeled for these and help prevent and also solve crime in Harrow,This is even more important when we dwell on house burglaries—often aimed at stealing gold from the Asian community—and robbery as we happily go shopping in the run up to Christmas.

Speak with your neighbourhood teams and ask your local cops for valuable advice to prevent becoming a victim of crime.Use Smartwater to get your personal property marked.Do remember,Harrow is still one of the safest London boroughs. It’s up to us to ensure we keep it that way.
