Harrow Police Commendation Ceremony – June 26, 2012

Harrow Borough Commander, Chief Superintendent Dal Babu held a Commendation Ceremony at Stanmore and Canons Park Synagogue on Tuesday 26 June.

The event was hosted by Senior Rabbi Mendel Lew from the Synagogue and was attended by the Rt Hon Bob Blackman MP, local councillors and members of Harrow Police’s Senior Leadership Team.

In his welcome speech, Rabbi Lew spoke of the great pride that he and members of the Synagogue felt in hosting such an event and the respect and admiration they had for local police officers.

Chief Supt Dal Babu said:

“Harrow is the UK’s most religiously diverse borough and I am pleased that we have been able to hold these important events in the community at places of worship including a Church, a Hindu Temple, a Zoroastrian Centre and now a Synagogue.”

“It is fantastic that officers and their families can be recognised for their outstanding acts of bravery and dedication in this way.”

“We are extremely appreciative of the support we receive from all our communities”
