police_lantern_2-150x150The Mayor of London has published his plan for policing across London, and Harrow has some interesting points. You can download the full report here, but the highlights include:

  • Police ‘Contact Points’ will be opened. Contact Points are locations for nonurgent face-to-face contact, where the public can meet their local police at regular known times. In Harrow, there will be Contact Points at:
    • Pinner Police Station
    • 1 Headstone Drive, Harrow, HA3 6QX
    • Kirkland House, Harrow Central.
    • Unit 3 Fountain House, 30 Church Road, Stanmore, HA7 4AL
  • The ‘Contact Points’ will be be open from 19.00 – 20.00 on Wednesday and Thursday, and 14.00 – 15.00 on Saturdays. That’s, uh, three hours per week.
  • Feedback from the consultation process identified the need to provide 24/7 Front Counter facilities separate to the core custody facilities. The 24/7 Front Counter facilities will be provided at Harrow Police Station.
