Recently a burglary took place at Potter Street, Pinner where an Audi car was stolen. The car was subsequently recovered on the same day due to the tracker being activated.
A few days later in a separate incident, two suspects were arrested by Harrow officers following a car chase along Uxbridge Road, Pinner.
PC Jackson of Pinner Safer Neighbourhoods Team was listening to the chase on the radio at the time and suspected that the occupants of the car may have been involved in committing the burglary at Potter Street. He immediately contacted his colleagues to express his concerns.
The arresting officers searched the suspects and two sets of car keys were recovered from them. Officers then visited the scene of the burglary in Potter Street and found that both sets of keys belonged to the two cars that were parked on the victim’s driveway.
Sergeant Roni Doyle in charge of Pinner Safer Neighbourhoods Team said: ”This is an outstanding piece of work by PC Jackson who used his initiative and local knowledge to assist the investigating officers in solving this crime.”
