Following yesterday’s lockdown of Avanti House school, where pupils were secured withing the premises until 7.00pm, the school has issued a statement:
Thank you for your patience. I have been advised by the police that I am now able to share some information regarding the police presence at Avanti House yesterday.
Yesterday at around 2pm, the school sought police involvement to investigate an allegation made by a student about another student.
Police enquiries continue and no conclusions having been reached yet. The school continues to work with the police to ensure that the matter is resolved quickly. As of this afternoon, the school has resumed back to normality.
We will keep you informed of investigative outcomes as and when we are able to.

The police have issued the below statement:
“Police were called at 14:00 on Wednesday 29th March for a report of an alleged offence at a premises in Beaulieu Drive, Pinner. Officers attended the location and received an allegation of a sexual offence. There has been no arrest at this stage. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances. The investigation is being led by detectives from the Sexual Offences Command.”
