Avanti House School – What’s Happening?

Back in early March, we wrote that Avanti House, the school currently without a site in Harrow, has commenced it’s statutory consultation process which is due to complete on April 11, 2012. However, today, we’ve noticed that they’ve decided that the consultation will continue until further notice. The consultation asks for your view on the proposal for the Avanti House School, and anybody can respond.

The school has still yet to announce exactly where it’ll be in Harrow. Despite their website proclaiming that they’d announce their location imminently – it’s been saying that since at least early February – and their intention to open in September 2012, starting with two Reception classes and up to six Year 7 classes – that’s a potential of up to 240 children (at 30 children per class, although we’d expect classes to be smaller than that here) – you’d be forgiven for thinking that they’d have found a place by now.

The school held a number of open days for prospective parents in February and March at the successful Krishna Avanti school.

If anyone can shed any light on what’s happening there – please let us know.
