wish_centre_logoIn 2014, The WISH Centre will be a launching Harrow Shield a new public awareness campaign to stop the physical and sexual abuse of young people.

Harrow is fortunate to have expert help from wonderful people who work from the Wish Centre. Our teenagers have an ideal opportunity to seek help and support from them should they be experience any kind of sexual or physical violence or even abuse including harassment. The youth conference held in the Council Chamber on November 27th,celebrating “White Ribbon Day”had many leading people in the field who had come to raise awareness of the help available to teenagers and also counselling which they would need in case of being targetted.

It’s really encouraging to know the Wish Centre is launching the HARROW SHIELD early in 2014 to benefit our young citizens and protect them from perpetrators of these dreadful crimes. The Harrow Police take these matters very seriously. The Borough Commander will no doubt welcome the Wish Centre’s new initiative supporting what they already do in this field.
