Selfish Parker SJ52MGO Wins Double-Dip Prize

Mr SJ52MGO is our first double-dip winner: he’s someone we’ve seen TWICE stopping on yellow zig-zags outside Welldon Park Infant School. First featured in later September, he returns today for a second round of Selfish Parking.

Here you can see him, clearly stopped, with Mrs SJ52MGO unloading their small child – from the offside door, no less – ready for school.

Perhaps, you might think, SJ52MGO Jr is late for school? Not so – this photo was taken at 8.53 on October 12, 2012 – that’s a leisurely seven minutes before school starts, ample time for Selfish Dad to park somewhere safe.

Parking or stopping on yellow zig-zags outside schools is generally frowned upon by parents of small children, teachers, and the community at large. The zig-zags are there for a reason: to stop people parking in dangerous locations.

Rule 238 of the Highway Code: You MUST NOT wait or park, or stop to set down and pick up passengers, on school entrance markings (see ‘Road markings’) when upright signs indicate a prohibition of stopping.
