Susan Says: Pinner Wood School Deserves Council Debate. Now.

The Parents and Teachers of Pinner Wood School are clearly and justifiably concerned about the future of their much loved School and thus their Children’s education. Within a very short period of time a petition was written and over 2000 signatures obtained.

The amount of signatures is significant because it means that the petition must be debated in Council. I have been told however that the petition will go to the September Council. Clearly this is ridiculous and unacceptable as decisions will already have been made. I am therefore going to call for an Extraordinary Council Meeting to allow Councillors to discuss the issues here and hopefully we will be able to confirm that all efforts must and will be made to keep the School local and together.

That is what our parents and residents want so that is what we must absolutely aim to achieve.

Cllr Susan Hall
Leader, Harrow Conservative Group

Lets hope the Council are made to debate this soon, another example of Labour trying to avoid there responsibilities. Ridiculous that they are trying to delay this to September. This school and the children should be a top priority right now!

    – Not sure if that is just ‘off-topic syndrome’ or ‘short memory syndrome’ OH however:

(Again) History though will also show that the Conservative/Lib Dem Coalition were instrumental in removing our best chance to get a good handle on immigration 10 years ago:

Similarly Cameron/May’s ridiculous claim to be able to control this – and reduce net immigration to 100K p.a. was also utter nonsense too (as they knew when promising this)

Incidentally the main problem with ‘Right To Buy’ is that Councils are actually not allowed to use that money to build more houses (by Law, and as implemented by Thatcher) Why? And yet all Councils (Legal) obligations to house people remains of course. That’s ‘Conservatives’ for you.

Someonewhocares, stop harking back to historical politics. I am interested in local issues of today and ensuring the Council provides value for money and deals with priorities. If this school was in a Labour held ward, Sachin & Co would be bending over backwards to deal with this situation.

I realise that you do not read many other posts WW but my comment was clearly aimed at OH’s inaccuracies not yours. Incidentally don’t you know History IS Politics – and vice-versa?

And are *you* actually capable of posting without mentioning Shah? Have you ever even met him? Perhaps you should get out of your armchair and try getting more involved; Ask for a meeting with him and accuse him directly of playing petty politics with PWS – that should help their cause….
