Singing for Starters with Harrow Harmony Choir

harrow_harmony_choirEver wanted to sing in a choir but have never sung before or can not read music?

Singing for Starters may be the course for you.  Singing for Starters is run by Hilary Musgrave (conductor of Harrow Harmony) under the auspices of Harrow Choral Society and is an evening choral course designed for people who are new to singing and wish to learn basic choral singing skills.  It is also suitable for people who may have sung before but just need a refresher.

The course covers basic singing techniques, simple music theory and sight singing.  Throughout the course you will also learn a selection of small choral pieces starting off in unison and gradually building up to two and possible three part pieces.  At the end of each term a small performance is given to the main Harrow Choral Society choir.

Interested and want to know more?  Why not come along to a FREE 45 minute taster session on Monday 9th September 2013 at 19:45.

The one year course starts on Monday 16th September and consists of three 12 week terms.  The course runs on Monday nights 19:45 – 21:15 at St Alban’s Church hall, The Ridgeway, North Harrow, HA2 7PF.
