Petition for lifts for Harrow-on-the-Hill tube station – extended

Back in early December, we reported that there was a petition under way to gather support for the installation of lifts at Harrow-on-the-Hill Station.

Here we are, a month later, and the organiser, Councillor Sue Anderson now reports that so far, they’ve gathered around 500 signatures – and only 78 on the ipetitions.com website.

According to the Harrow Times, Cllr Anderson said: “The campaign is going really well and we have around 500 signatures now. We were supposed to hand them over through London Assembly member for Harrow, Navin Shah, but we decided to extend the time to gather more support.”

As we said in December, is it a new problem? The Harrow Observer reports from May 2009 on this very issue, with it’s “Give us a Lift” campaign. And nothing happened then.

You can read the full report on the Harrow Times website, here.

Now, when are the next local elections due?
