Voluntary Action Harrow Gain £2k to Re-launch Trustee’s Network

voluntary_action_harrowVoluntary Action Harrow (VAH) have received just under £2,000 from The Co-operative Membership Community Fund to re-launch Harrow’s Trustee Network.

The network, which had been previously running for nearly two years, is a chance for local trustees to share their experiences and tips on a variety of different topics important to the sector. It is also an opportunity for local people, of all ages, to learn a bit more about being a trustee.

Not sure what a trustee is?

Trustees are the lifeblood of the voluntary and community sector. They are the people ultimately responsible for the organisation and its strategic decisions. They are not normally involved in the day-to-day running of its operation, but have a key role in shaping voluntary and community services.

The first meeting is due to be held at the end of April. If you are interested in becoming a trustee, joining the network or have some suggestions to topics you might like to discuss contact Alex Buckmire, VAH’s Marketing & Research Co-ordinator by emailing alexbuckmire@voluntaryactionharrow.org.uk or calling 020 8861 5894.
